The general installation practices are consistent with New Zealand however. Remember safety first! Ensure you follow all product health & safety guidelines.

As a basic rule, the R-Value (a general rating of how effective the insulation is) minimums are R3.2 in the ceiling and R1.4 in the underfloor for the north Island excluding Taupo. If your taking the time to do it yourself we recommend going above the R-value minimums to at least an R4.0 in the ceiling and an R1.8 in the floor.
